What are your thought and experiences with the Sap Moss Shampoos and conditioners? Are they worth it?

The shampoo made my hair feel like tree bark. I didnt like it at all.

I went to check this stuff out in the mall, and I couldnt get past the smell

I used to use it, but it really didn't "do" anything for me given it's price. The smell was okay as long as I didn't use it consistently.

I had a small tube of the shampoo, and I would say the same thing. I got better "results" using chaeper (priced) products like D&L Dry Hair Healer, Pantene Hydrating Curls, Suave, ISO Daily Nourishing, etc.

I loved the shampoo (conditioner was just ok). Really moisturizing and curl defining. Don't really use it too much anymore now that I'm locking.
I thought the smell was sort of interesting--didn't bother me at all.

That stuff did me no good, I thought it was going to be spectacular.. after I tried it I was so excited that I only got the trial size :P but even then the trial sizes cost !! :evil:

too much money for what it does. It did not make my hair any moister, and i have found cheaper conditioners (like jasons) that do much better.

luv it... smells rich, earthy and awesome like all aveda products... gives jus the right amount of moisture while cleaning my hair... conditioner is jus ok... makes me luv to wash my hair!

for a few months after shaving off my locs i stopped using it cuz for some reason it didn't really work anymore? what was that about? tried it again and it's wonderful for me - not drying at all!

i'm sure there are other products that are great too so you can try them.. if u have the $$ try it and keep it on stand-by - it may work 4 u later on in your journey u never know...

I had the same experience for the 'poo.

The conditioner was great though. It really detangles. Like afronappy, I like the mossy rich smell !

I did not care for the shampoo at all. Not that it is terrible, but for the price it just was not all that.

But the conditioner....I'M IN LUV :D BIG TIME. Makes my hair sooooooo soft, moistorized, and tangle free. Worth the dough so far...until I come up with my own home made creation (I'm serious yall, look out 8) ).

The only other conditioner that will do is by Natures Gate (herbal ONLY). And even then the conditioner is not as RICH/CREAMY/THICK as Sapp Moss...but it has that nice chamomile smell though.
