Thanks for the link rootsgryl. I read about the"Somalia link to al-Quiada" in the paper the other day, and needless to say, my radar went off. The Pentagon/Marines have a "debt" to settle, and this foray, may lead to a war within/on the continent of Africa sometime soon.

Has anyone read any of Michael Moore's book, especially the latest one, "Dude where's my country?" You will have to put the book down a couple of times.
I am not asking everyone I know if they are registered to vote. We need to make sure that everyone one of us are registered to vote and gets out there November 2004. They can't throw out every vote
or can they?

Michael Moore's book is on my list of books to read. I'm just now finishing up "Bushwhacked" by Molly Ivins & Lou Dubose. Like Moore's book, this is one that you have to put down every once in awhile or your blood pressure will shoot sky high!
Four more years of this guy, and we won't have much of a country left to take back.

I have read both of Michael Moore's books: *Stupid White Men* and *Dude, Where's My Country?* and let me just say this: Bush is one scary individual and we need him OUT of office and OUT of power NOW , before this fool attempts to orchestrate some sort of Armageddon-style scenario...

The way things are looking, Bush will be re-elected in 2004.
Who do you think would make a better president in 2004? None of the people running for the democratic nomination would get my vote.
As for Mr. Bush orchestrating an Armageddon style senario, how could this ever happen? The end is inevitable and it will happen just like the Bible says and no man can orchestrate that. No President will be the cause of our demise. If we look around at all of the crazy and wild things that are going on today, you would know that the end is very near and that we will be the cause of our own demise and not one single man.

Heck... even *I* would make a better president than George Bush!
No I'm not all that excited about any of the current democratic candidates. I like some better than others, but none of them really blow my skirts up. But all of them look 100% better than Bush, Cheney and that crowd.
Whoever wins the Democratic nomination will definitely get my vote.
Simply put: Bush has GOT to go!

This is horrible. The whole world is going to be hatin the U.S. if not already. Im definetly not voting 4 Bush. I hope he doesnt try any ballot shifting like he did in the last election.
Is there a specific order that the books should be read? Should I read Dude where's my country or Stupid white men 1st?

I recommend "Stupid White Men" first. It wets your palette for "Dude...". I have ordered "Lying Liars..." by Al Franken and I want to read Bushwacked.
I heard on Fox News that the Republicans are trying to push Dean because they feel that he can't beat Bush. Is that something? Personally I would vote for General Wesley Clark because the divide between the U.S. and the rest of the world needs to be repaired and fast. He has foreign experience. Also we need somebody who can beat that fool.
I feel the country is being run into the ground with this ever-growing deficit.
This is a website to register to vote. I am busy trying to get people to register to vote. We can't afford four more years of this.

i am definitely NOT voting for bush!!! didn't in 00 and won't in 04.
but i'm afraid america is already quite brainwashed into passivity. i believe many will vote for bush again.
i hope the voting system is not automated and computerized to allow for deletion of certain undesirable votes. that is their response to the florida ballot issues.
i have plenty of links on the main page of my site for anyone who is interested.
yes, i am praying for the state of the world daily... constantly praying.
blessings...

I have read *Stupid White Men* *Dude, Where's My Country?* *Lying Liars* and *Bushwhacked* as well as *The Lies of George W. Bush* -- all are good and will give an accurate account of the frightening antics of the current criminals-in-residence housed in this current administration. I highly recommend all these books.

I have to agree with you.
I don't think Bush is a bad President. He has done the best he can with the mess that Clinton left behind. None of the current Democratic candidates are worthy of being President, I would not consider voting for any of them.
Africa is not a sacred place. If there are countries/people there that we need to go to war with then I am all for it. African Nations are slaughtering their own people (history of violence, remember these are the same people that sold your people into slavery), so they get no special pass in my book.
Michael Moore is a self absorbed coked out druggie. Any idiot can write a book, that doesnt mean that the contents are true. I read the book, it's garbage.

Bush is a horrible president. He is systematically tearing down all of the social programs that we've had for decades. He's loosening the environmental laws so the corporations can pollute and not have to clean it up or pay for it. He's given our foreign allies the finger on more than one occasion. I could go on and on.
My bottom line is this. I will vote for anybody who runs against Bush. He never should have been the president in the first place. Not only did he steal the election, but he really shouldn't have been nominated by the Republicans anyway because he doesn't have the smarts or the experience or the plain common sense to be a president. Money and family got him the nomination. He doesn't have the country's best interest at heart, and he doesn't have the stuff that leaders are made of.
It will take us a very long time to recover from his presidency.

Right now, I want to vote for Kucinich (sp?) He is the only person with a strategic plan to end the occupation of Iraq. (Al Sharpton is down for it but he doesn't have the political experience. Al is great at expanding the debate though) Kucinich also has policies to remove the occupation (bases) in other countires as well as a domestic policy with social programs.
I understand how many people will vote for Dean to get Bush out of office. I remember the same argument as why to vote for Gore instead of NAder in 2000. I think this same argument was used with Clinton in 92 as opposed to his foe (I forgot, forgive me I'm 22). Clinton, a Democrat, a conservative Democrat, gave Black folks the highest number of executions...mostly of Black males. Not to mention all the talk he gave about AIDS and money he didn't. So I think it's best that i stick to my convictions and not a political strategy that can very well backfire.
:offtopic
What's up with sistah Carol Mosley Braun. Her politics seem to be the same as Dean. The only difference is she is Black and female. I'm not dumb enough to fall for that "women's candidate" nonsense she's espousing. What part of feminism says it's ok to occupy a country until we can find a way to get out? That was something to the effect of her statements at the last Debate.
I should come to the Activism section more often...
