What happened to the freeform thread?

Wassup Natties,

Not to start anything, but I don't understand how free forming became a hype or a fad. What I do know, is that I don't like to twist or latch or palm roll or anything. In fact, I know that this time around (I had my first set for almost 5 years, and cut it for emotional/spiritual reasons) I'm actually starting without any aid from a protective style. No braids, no two-strands, no extensions...Just my hair, and time, water, good-smelling EOs , and mild shampoo. It's been 5 weeks, and it's kinda unbelievable...I am so excited you have no idea. I know this set will be miles away from my first, but I also can already see that it will be new and exciting and wild, and beautiful.

So While I veer off the point, what I meant when opening this thread, is that, to some people, free forming, or organic dreads/locs/natties/palu is not a fad, or something we just do cuz everyone is talking about it, or because you sees girl who free forms and has hair that makes you gawk, and wonder how in the world it's possible without constant manipulation. So I just want to know where the free formers are at. If there was a sub-forum that would be great, but for now, I'd like to start this thread cuz I don't know what happened to the old one...I believe it was called Freeformers Anonymous.

Anyway y'all, nothing but peace and blessing to all natties and nappy people in this community. Thank you all for your support. Please don't be afraid to comment.

Freeformer here. I started my second set officially back on Halloween 2012 (continued washing regularly, but stopped fluffing out my fro), and I'm 2.5 months into it. They're cute now as short baby locs, but they'll be stunning when they mature.

Freeforming suits me.

Freeformer here. Yours were ones I gawked um looked at when I started mine. Look forward to seeing the new set grow and mature. Mine are 7yrs now and I started freeforming around year 3 I think.

There are many threads on freeforming. I did a search but did not come across any labelled 'Freeformers Anonymous'. There will not be any subforums divided by different loc methods be it latching, freeforming, palmrolling etc unless there is a huge demand for them.
