I've been searching online and in stores now for a good quality, fashionable wool winter coat. I admit I have a few nice coats already, but I like to have possibilities. The problem is, I wear a 16 in women's clothing. The nice coats come up to size 12 or 14. After that the coats s tart to come in 1X, 2X etc, which is too big for me and they tend to look like sacks with buttons. I never understand why designers do this. It's almost like they're saying big women don't need coats, I guess the chub will keep us warm <_< . Anybody have any good suggestions?

I forgot about them! I'll look this week. Thanks! Overstock has some things too.

Burlington should be a success for you.

www.newport-news.com is a great site. I've gotten leather, berber fleece and wool coats from here, usually off-season for real cheap, but it's another option.

Torrid (http://www.torrid.com/torrid/store/nodePage.jsp?FOLDER%nappy%3Efolder_id=253437430203 6117&bmUID=1229173918172&SELECTION<>theme=Default) has some great Plus Size coats, and they are reasonably priced. Not so reasonably priced is the coats from Lee Lee's Valise (http://leeleesvalise.com/) (great boutique in Brooklyn, NY & online!).

I actually purchased my coat from Chadwick's (http://www.chadwicks.com/), and its comfy, warm and fashionable (imho)
