I :heart almond butter! But it is so expensive and the domestic goddess in me just wants to make it herself. Does anyone make nut or seed butters themselves? If so how? Do you use a juicer with a blank plate? Or perhaps a high power blender or food processor?

cooking light Magazine had a very interesting article and recipe about this very topic. They advised to use a food processor because it makes a nice smooth butter. Now you can purchase the small ones that make like a cup or two of nut butters. The issue is the october 2002 issue. If you can get your hands on it from the library you'd be amazed. If not pm me and I'll type a few out for you to print off.
