Hey Folks,

I am going through some kind of hair identity crisis and it seems like right now, the only thing that makes any sense to me is Sisterlocks. I have done soooo much research on what would be best for me and which type pf locks I would like. i have quite a few people around me with traditional locks including my mother but I feel that Sisterlocks are the way forward for me. the only problem is that I really don't have anybody to talk to about it :( sooo.... if you feel like supporting somebody who is about to embark on their SL journey over the next few months (considering I proberbly wont be able to afford it until september  ) then pleeeeease get in touch! I have a ton of questions and would love to have somebody to bounce ideas off of.

Oh and you don't HAVE to be from london at all! But if you are from london, I would really appreciate it if you have any idea of where I could find a good SL consultant. I have a few lines of enquiry that i am following up regarding who to go to but you can never have too many options i guess ^_^

There are quite a few Sisterlockers here on NP. Ask all the questions you want. It's good that you are taking time to do a lot of research. There are so many myths about Sisterlocks floating around.

To find a consultant, here's the list from the SL home office: http://www.sisterlocks.com/Web_Registries/...nsult_Intl.html (http://www.sisterlocks.com/Web_Registries/CertConsult_Intl.html)

You can also search the Sisterlocks Yahoo group for referrals: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LockItUp/

London SL Meetup group: http://naturalhair.meetup.com/37/

I'd love to help! While you're using this time to save $$$ and research on sisterlocks, you could also spend this time learning how to self-retighten. Check on youtube or SL blogs. I figure if things get tough, you can always get your locks installed then maintain them yourself. Good luck!

Thanks so much to you both!

@ chacha- Thanks to you, i think I may have found the consultant I plan to use :D

@ missjade- your locs are so pretty! Browsing albums has been a large part of my research tbh so it was nice to look through another!

I'll chack out you tube like you said too cos checking out the tightening process would be a great way to be a stap or two ahead when the time comes

Thanks again!

I'm sure I'll be back with more questions... ^_^
