I moved into a home a year ago and I hate my cabinets. I would like them painted black, have brushed nickel handles placed on the doors and make a few doors with glass. I plan to change the countertops to a white or light colored granite. How do u think this will look?

It sounds lovely, but it will make your kitchen really dark especially if you don't have a lot of natural light shinning in. I personally like the dark look though. But of course, it's whatever makes you happy. :D

When we buy our house, (no where near ready yet. lol We are still moving often) I want to get granite counter tops with maybe cherry wood cabinets. Here is a picture of the colors I want.

I just realized you said light colored granite. Sorry. LoL. I think that will be very pretty. :D Ignore me talking about it being dark. haha.

Depends upon the size of your kitchen, the lighting and the main color of your wall and appliances. Darker colors make space appear smaller, plus works on ones psyche if they spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Also consider the color scheme in nearby rooms if it's an open kitchen. I really can't tell how it looks without an image.

I love black cabinetry. I love black and white/cream kitchens. When done well they are stunning. Post pics! :)

My parents used pro100usa (https://www.nappturality.com/forums/www.pro100usa.com/)to find out how the room will look before renovating.
