Has anyone been to Urbanbella salon in Atlanta and not to just buy products but to actually get their hair done? They're running a special so this would be the best time to try them out. If you have what was your experience and which stylist did you see? Thanks a bunch!

Side note--As 'colored' as atl is, it is such a challenge to find a good and consistent hair stylist, natural or otherwise...sigh!..sorry for the mini rant

Hi! I'm actually going to Urban Bella for a hair appointment for the first time this Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes! :)

I have been to Urban Bella and while I say that it is a beautiful place and the woman did a great job on my hair (I can not remember her name it was about 1 year ago) they are expensive, expensive, expensive so be prepared!

It is beautiful decorated with long drapes and rich colors. All the girls had beautiful natural hair. They did have me wait about 20 mins and I did have an appointment. I went to have comb coils and it was suggested to trim my ends and I agreed. When I got the bill I seen that they charged me $80 for a trim! I flipped in my mind and kicked myself in the butt and that is why I never went back. But the hairstyle came out cute.

Just following up from my last post. I went to Urban Bella on Saturday. I had a consultation and then I decided to get a straw set. The consultation was very thorough and everyone was really, really nice. I loved everyone's hair there. I am very pleased with the service, and I loved my stylist. Her name is Ukali. She did an awesome job. My hair is super cute! The consultation and roller set was $75.

I have heard of Urbanella and plan to visit. However, I went to curltopia (www.curltopia.com) ~ I LOVED it. Giselle did my consultation and styling (finger style). The salon was a pleasant "experience." I will be back in a few weeks.
