I have a fear of letting anyone who is not black cut my hair, unless they themselves sport an afro of some sort. Is that bad, or prejudicial in any way? Does anyone know of a place in San Diego where I can SAFELY get just 3 inches at most cut off of my 100% natural hair? I am too scared to get it cut and now these split ends seem to be endless... :-( HELP.

WELCOME!

and no, you're not prejudiced, i'd feel the same way.

i'm in san diego as well and when my hair was in a 'fro i would go to a shop with mostly older ladies called "Ebony & Ivory" on plaza blvd and i had BARBARA trim/cut my hair. she didn't charge much either (i never paid over $20 for her services)

i see you live in Santee, so it might be a lil drive, but it doesn't hurt to inquire:
