Natural Hair Salons in DC/NYC Metro Area

I am finally ready for my not so big chop. Does anyone have recommendations for reasonably priced places in either the DC or NYC Metro Area? I am seeking a place where I can get my hair cut and styled (possibly gel twists or coils but I am not sure yet).

I don't know if any one has replied to this as of yet but there is a great little place called Afrogenix in Manhattan on 79th St off of Broadway. They are somewhat reasonably priced and work with a variety of natural hair textures. I've had flat twist outs there as I transition. My daughter (3b) had her hair cut and twisted done there and my mother (4a) had a blowout. Google their website. Hope this is helpful.

Thank you very much for the info. I decided to chop my own hair but I would like to check them out within the next couple of weeks.
