Hi everybody, I have baby locs started with 2 strand twists and now freeforming, I don't use oil but have been struggling to try to find the right moisture balance. I use aloe Vera juice for now but need a little more moisture. Also would honey give softness and moisture and does it cause build up? Thanks in advance for any suggestions :) Also I would like to use something that I can still run my hands through my hair and it not leave oil on my hands. :)

Herbal Tea examples:
Chamomille
Green
Marigold
Hibiscus
Brew and pour rinse over hair after shampooing...spritz(keep in fridge)daily. Many do use oil. I do both now-at maturity.
The Rinses are great and it helps to accelerate the locking process, while feeding the follicles.

I occasionally use Oyin Greg Juice or Juices and Berries to moisturize my hair. I just spray on my hair and then hop in the shower. The glycerin attracts the steam from the shower and I end up with soft, moisturized locs.

Mostly, I just use water.

I use a rose water, aloe vera juice, glycerin mix in a similar way to xayide.
