please help me with my baby's hair!!

i have 12 month old son with soft curly hair. it's so soft that when i try to braid it, it will not stay braided. are there any products i can use to help with the braids? it's already so soft; i just need to find something that will help keep the braids together..

hi my son is five
and his hair was very soft too
i never braided it
if i were you i would let it loose
or braid it when it's longer
or make a lil ponytail or something.
