Hey, I love some backed beans. I'm trying to rid my kitchen of canned foods and this is one that I'm having a hard time getting rid of cuz i love some baked beans.

does anyone have a recipie for homemad baked beans? I'd prefer ones without meat. but if you have a great one with meat i can always leave out that ingredient.

*I've never tried this dish before*

1 lb. dried beans (soak 24 hours)
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 raw sugar or 1/8 cup honey
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. molasses
1/2 tbsp. basil
1 cup tomato paste

1. Pressure beans for 30 minutes in water 3 inches over beans
2. Put tomato paste in mixing bowl and add a cup water. Add sugar, oil, and spices and mix well.
3. Bake in baking dish uncovered for 1/2 hour at 375 degrees. Let cool. You can vary dish by using navy, soy, and other white beans.
Yields: 6 Servings

BTW I don't have a slow cooker or pressure cooker. But i'm thinking of investing in one since i eat beans once or twice a week now.
