For my taste it is lacking in color and symmetry. It looks like your wall is blue but I can’t tell what your accent color is. Perhaps putting something with weight on the other side of the candelabra would help. There are also no candles on the candelabra which gives it an unfinished look, The little do dads are too little so they look lost.
The photos also confuse what you are trying to achieve. The picture Frames are all different, style, color, size, the wall and the two different sets of pictures on the end.

Suggestion:
Trying mounting the picture above the mantle at the same height, remove the do dads, and if you want to have your pictures, keep the frames close to the pictures on the wall and display them together.

One large piece of art work that compliments your decor and brings attention to your fire place. Preferably oils. Two sets of uneven thick candles on each end and possibly a flat floral/leafy candle center piece. The latter depends upon how large the painting. If the painting has floral arrangments, omit the center piece. Another option: converstional piece of wall art/sculpture.

the wall is green (laura leaf) from home depot. I appreciate your feedback!! :).....Here is another pic...I know it has to be mounted (it is heavy) but just wanted to get your ideas for the mantle.

I was thinking of something wider to close the green space, but your painting should suffice. Let's utilize what you have. Center your painting -- 6 inch from mantle minimum. Add thick candles to your candle holders and display the same amount on the opposite end. If there isn't any wrought iron in your room decor, I suggest getting new candle holders.

Other options:

A long candelabra with mini candles.
Wall sconces alongside the painting. Could be a thick candle or greenery/floral arrangement.
2 Tall vases of floral arrangements... maybe an elegant time piece.
Whatever you decide... all eyes on the fireplace. It must pop, have color, light, coincide with the decor in the room and preferably change the accessories per season.

Honestly I think if you painted the wood black it would really POP as a focal point.

I think you can make this picture work and you don't even have to mount it.
Try a red/orange ornamental vase on one end as this would pick up the color and then on the other end do your candalabra with candles. I am hands on, so it is difficult to give suggestions. I think trial and error will help you to find what best appeals to you. Remember, you will overwhelm yourself trying to decorate your entire house in one shot. Let it unfold naturally. Have fun!!
