New Baby, flat ironing and major breakage

help me please ladies,

My hair has been falling out for the last year. I wasnt to worried about because when i had my daughter the same thing happened but i didnt lose any length. but with my son and a new hubby who like straight hair, i have lost about 4 or 5 ins of hair, and have a section that is 2 ins shorter than the rest of my hair.

he is natural so i never thought he like straight

i looked up what to do for breakage and how to stop it and everything points to BC. I really dont want to i love my hair and hate to see it go.

doy any of you ladies have any other ways to stop major breakage and regrow hair without having to chop again?

There will be breakage as it goes along, and if it's already damaged, you can't stop it, just try and lessen it.

Just wondering, why were you changing your hair for your husband? He couldn't deal with a little nap?

You are going to have to stop straightening, then you might want to try a protein treatment to help stop breakage. Some people use aphogee, but please do your research first on the product before you use it. Search youtube and google for that.

Sorry to hear about your hair damage.

If you have flatironed, especially over and over again, and your hair is breaking off, that means it is burned. There is really nothing you can do about it except treat it gently and cut the burned hair off. Please visit our Heat Consequences Forum where you can search to find some help.
