So I just got loc extensions and I absolutely love them. I plan on keeping them in while my hair grows and locs on its own. But I was wondering how I should wash them? Whether I should use conditioner or not since I want my hair to loc or should I was them as if it they were natural locs and use something like a vinegar wash or special loc shampoo? Also a frequency would be helpful, every 3 days or week?

Posting to bump I need to know as well.
Mercy did they explain how she/he installed the locs? Is it braided at the roots or just twisted and knotted. I'm deciding whether or not to get these installed or do them myself but I would love to know maintenance processes.

Thanks.

My cousin did mines, we followed this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDYhzzawVJw

and ended it with a twist and knot.

Don't use conditioner. Just use a shampoo. Check the loc treads. Conditioners leave buildup over time.
