have clearer skin?
thicker eyebrows?

these are two serious questions! I don't have the clearest skin or thickest brows (tho I'd love too) ... just wondering if these are two things I can expect improvement on? LOL--but serious!

My eyebrows are just as thin now as when I was permed. My skin is about the same too.

The same

Question: I can understand why the skin may be different because different people have different effects that can take place when being exposed to chemicals, but why would your eyebrows be thicker? Unless you were perming them or something...

I can't say that my skin or eyebrows have changed since becoming natural.

Nope nothing has changed. Although during the first year I was natural, I actually started getting pimples around my hair line which I had never experienced before. I think it was from product getting on my skin, specifically shea butter since that's the only time I ever used it. Since then my skin has gone back to normal.

But why would your eyebrows be any different? What you do to the hair on your head has no effect on the hair on your face .

My skin looks better because I'm taking better care of it. I'm also taking better care of other parts of my life.

the natural hair did not cause it. I took better care of my skin, like drinking water, moisturizing, deep cleansing and stuff. And i have always had thick eyebrows.

Thick eyebrows - down to genetics and state of health
Clear skin - down to diet, environment, beauty products, state of health
nothing to do with hair texture or perms

I have thick eyebrows and my skin stays pretty clear and it's been like that since I was permed.

i think people notice your features when natural, and i also believe you are at your most beautiful when you are the way you were born

My has skin changed, but not because of my hair (I got older). Eyebrows exactly the same.

My skin is better because I dont use the same products from when I was on CFC. Also I take better care of my skin now. My eyebrows are still the same.

I have seen an improvement from my skin where the permed hair used to touch. No more goop in my hair. But my eyebrows are the same. I think you would have to eat better, use the right cleansers or combat your genetics to get clearer skin.

1. No I have acne:-))
2. My eyebrows are the same as before I went natural:)

Nothing has changed for me. Clear skin (thank you Lord), but I have thin eyebrows.

No on both counts. My brows are thick because of genetics and hormones. Unless I pluck I have caterpillars. :-))

And I need to work on my skin. But that's down to me. It's got nothing to do with my hair.

I've always had clear skin. As for my eyebrows, they got thicker the day I turned 40. :-)) But I'd been natural for 10 years prior so there's no connection there.

Nope.

I've never had thick eyebrows, and my skin isn't clear like I want it to be, and I've had my natural hair for years.

I'm confused as to why you would think you eyebrows would change just because you have stopped relaxing. Unless you were relaxing your eyebrows there is not reason why they would change.
I am trying to thicken my eyebrows right now I put castor oil on them about twice a day so perhaps try that.

...What?

Unless you were perming your eyebrows, I don't get how that would do anything...And wouldn't just changing face washes effect skin?

Fronomenal

Not automatically...

However, my skin has gotten clearer (I switched to natural skincare products) and my eyebrows are thicker (I decided to go for a more "natural" look) as a "side-effect" of my going natural.

It's not a universal effect though...

My face has cleared up a little since going natural, but I guess they won't completely go away cuz this is teenage acne. Also, I've always had thick brows which I just can't get over! :))

Nope. Still have acne, and I inherited my mother's thin eyebrows.

When I first went natural, my skin got bad with acne due to the olive oil that I used as a pre poo. My skin/hair hates olive oil. Eyebrows...thin as always.

Only thing that changed was a better condition of my scalp and hair. My skin became much clearer when I started drinking more water and less soda.

My eyebrows are the same as they've always been, but my skin cleared up a little once the hair was no longer hanging in my face. I'm no longer a teen, but for some reason I still have the acne and oily buildup. It's aggravating.

I have always been blessed with good skin, but since I don't use heavy oils in my hair, it is even better. I do think it has something to do with being natural.

No, i do not think that. My eye brows are just as invistable (on purpose) as before

My eye brows are thicker because I'm older and I don't pluck out the hair anymore. My skin is oily, don't know why.

My skin and eyebrows are the same. My brows have already been thick (thanks daddy!) and my skin's clearness comes and goes.

MissQueenie
04-19-2011, 07:52 PM
Well my skin is clearer around my face and that could be because I now don't have dirty hair resting on my face all the time or because I am no longer seventeen. My eyebrows are just as thin as they always were.

i had both before I becoming natural. Thick eye brows runs in my family, but my skin has been always clear but I ty to keep it more clear since i am using natural products and exercising.

Everything's the same with me. Just more noticeable now because I don't have a lot of hair to hide behind, so I gotta really stay on top of things.
