Ummmm. . . . . honey, that's sewing machine. Not sowing machine. :lol

But you're making a dress, not entering a spelling bee. Good luck! :)

ETA: Have you picked your pattern and fabric yet?

bra (http://www.max.hi-ho.ne.jp/hotaru/panty/brassiere.html)

Here's a pattern you might can use to make the top part

I made a dress from a picture when I was 17. I used a garbage bag and drew the pattern on that and cut it out. I traced a slip and another skirt I had to make the dress. The slip was the top part and the skirt was the bottom part. Turned out rather nice.

now that's a good idea@ jorjeni. you should be able to find a pattern for that dress. it looks simple enough.

I'm loving that link you posted, jorjeni. I've been in the mood to make an empire -waisted dress (or shirt, I haven decided yet) and I was wondering where I could find a decent pattern for the bra part.

BEAUTIFUL!!! it looks like they took the fabric off of a canvas and made it! I just beautiful. The colors look like a scenery of the ocean at sunset or sum...lol

HEY I just looked at those pictures on FEEPEE's site and that dress she is wearing is the bottom to the dress you want to make. Use the bra for the top and sew it to a shorter style of the dress on feepee's site and you have your dress.

Also I think I remember seeing some new dye you can use to dye fabric that will make that blending like that dress I think it was on the HGTV I saw it sometime this year. They were doing silk scarfs with this dye and it was beautiful.
