Do your current spending and saving habits reflect the state of the economy and the well documented fact that in 30 years most of us will have to fund our own retirement and pay for our own medical expenses with very little help from traditional pensions and medicare? :-P

My spending habits don't but my savings strategies have. I'm 46 so I expect to work another 20 years (just in case Medicare is around, I want to work until it kicks in). I've set up a 403 to supplement my pension accounts and social security. I opted for a pension plan that provides medical coverage.
