You can get it from www.daphnemoss.com. She has wonderful stuff like pumpkin butter and exotic perfume hair balm as well.

Hi Na...

You can also check out www.fromnaturewithlove.com, it's $7.00 a pound, but you can purchase it in smaller sizes as well.

They have several other butters and hundreds of natural products...check out this site when you have more than a few minutes to spare!

What hair benefits does Mango Butter have? Is it similar to Shea and Cocoa Butter in some way? I've always heard about it here, but have never tried it... :-)

Taken from www.soapcrafting.com

"Mango butter is obtained from the kernels of the mango tree. It has a high content of stearic acid which makes it similar to cocoa butter. It has good emolliency and lends a protective effect against the sun. It is said to prevent drying of the skin and formation of wrinkles. It reduces degeneration of skin cells and restores flexibility."

I have yet to use it on my hair, but I've used it on my skin and I love it. Gotta get me some more of THAT! :D

This site sells creamy mango butter. They have plain and fragrance-added varieties.

Well I've be doing a lil shopping :D Picked up some Mango butter, Shea butter, Sweet Almond butter, Gardenia FO from naturewithlove. Then headed on over to Brambleberrys where I picked up some Orange Peel powder, teabags (want to make some bath teas) Orange Valenvia FO and Tropical Vacation FO.

Thanks Earthtones and SoulJam for the info. Pumpkin43 next stop is daphemoss (maybe in a few weeks I'll place an order ~ just a lil sumthin  ) Still I figure I can do some window shopping at the other sites that were given snowdrift.com, cedarvale and health2go. Krazeenapps, NaturalJoy & TeaKyoo thanks also for the info.

@Acjazz ~ your hair is growing so nicely. Work that fro!

*Note now when all this stuff comes in the mail I'll need some real good receipes that have received positive feedback. Like the honey sheen spray. What I'm looking for is a good twist gel. (good hold).

QP also makes mango butter. I just bought some this weekend. I just put some on my ends as I finished my twists.

Your welcome Na!!! I hope you like what you get and have fun in the process.

and i hope no one gets mad at me, but there is a site that has very nice scents I've tried so far there Amber Romance and Vanilla Lace (which gets alot of people sniffing asking where the cookies are !)
it's called Sweetcakes.. www.sweetcakes.com

back to mango butter..
So far I've only used Mango butter from www.fromnaturewithlove.com
I liked it alot, very smooth and creamy. My skin was happy :) But all this talk has me wanting to try it again or at least mix it with the remaining cocoa butter I have. (I really don't like the cocoa butter by itself, but mixed..... :) we shall see... )
