Hmmmm. Yes, it is good but I keep forgetting to use it since it stays in the back of my fridge.

I recently rediscovered coconut oil. I had tried it a while back when acjazz had first recommended it, but I got the healthfoodstore solid version. I didn't love the scent and it did nothing for my hair. Fast forward one year and I pick up another bottle of oil, different brand, this time with some essential oils added. It was summer so it was liquid and viola, I'm in love. An oil that leaves hair moist and soft like a hair butter. :pumpheart:

I have tried the Tui Hair Oil from CD but I would love to try the Coconut Oil. Where can you get it from? My naps shine already but I love how the Tui oil makes my hair shimmer. You would think I had diamonds encrusted in my hair. :D I wonder if Coconut oil would do the same. I wanna love Coconut oil, too.
:P

*slight hijack* Have you guys tried Coconut Syrup? Like on your pancakes or waffles. Try it! You are gonna try to knaw (sp?) your finger off, it's so good!! *hijack over*

Peace and Napptural hair grease :rainfro:

I love it as well. I always buy the extra virgin coconut oil, because it's pure and unrefined. It's expeller pressed, which leaves all the beneficial properties intact, including the coconut smell.

I LOVE coconut oil, my hair feels amazing after using it. I don't know about pharmacy though - I buy mine from those indian shops..the ones that sell rice and seasonings and stuff (you know the ones) and it's 99p for a good size jar ;)

Well whadyaknow? Y'all talkin' 'bout my favorite subject!!!! :rainfro:

Coconut oil is so good for you--inside and out! I remember a post on the old board where I listed all of the many health benefits you get with using coconut oil...

It's good reading...check it out when you have the chance...

I love love love the coconut oil from natureswildchild.com its actually their virgin creme de coco. yummy! Although, I ran out recently and did not get a chance to order more..... so I picked up some "cactus oil" from the Jamaican lime" line of products.....my hair has never been so sheeny shiny or soft....and I only needed a little bit....which is saying alot because my hair soaks up some oil!

I have coconut oil...I was wondering if you have to refrigerate it, or can you keep it in it's liquid state w/out worrying that it will spoil?

keep it in the fridge. when you need some, stick the jar in some hot water and pour what you need. the last time i retwisted, i just spooned some out the jar and warmed it in a cup.
