I recently decided to round out my collection of erotic short fiction so that my bookshelf now includes:

Erotique Noire, Miriam Decosta-Willis (editor)
Dark Eros, Reginald Martin (editor)
Brown Sugar, Carol Taylor (editor)
Brown Sugar 2, Carol Taylor (editor)
Black Silk, Retha Powers (editor)
Best Black Women's Erotica, Blanche Richardson (editor)
Best Black Women's Erotica 2, Samiya Bashir (editor)

I haven't read all of these yet, but was wondering if anyone has any favorites among these titles, others to add as a recommendation, or just a favorite story from within any book.

I have also read one by ZANE, which I will also recommend.

I'm kind of new to the erotica reading and really have only read the Zane books. They have all been pretty good so far. Just finished her newest undefined and I think it was great! There wasn't a great deal of erotica but the story line was great and interesting. It was a quick read.

i think brown sugar is a wonderful collection; and i love the editor's introduction. she's got a great way of positioning erotica within a healthy, self-actualized, everyday sensuality, and also as a freeing up from black america's historical restrictions/negative associations with sexuality.

i actually wrote a story in BBWE 2 ;)
