This looks like it is going to be a pretty good documentary. It has not been long since I've known about Rob Williams, even though I've been aware for years that the image of docile, begging Black Southerners projected by media and school books is highly exaggerated.

It's a VERY good one. Very empowering and informative. We watched it yesterday in my African diaspora class.

Rob Williams wasn't the only militant Black southerner either. There was also a group in Louisiana known as the Deacons for Defense (http://www.nathanielturner.com/deaconsfordefense.htm)
