I was thinking about taking some trips via some specials I saw on Travel Zoo but wasn't familiar enough with them to know if the hotels are really legit, or some rinky dink joint...ya know the ol bait and switch? Do tell if it's the real mccoy!! :)

I'm a Travelzoo subscriber and saw this deal too. It sounds very good. If I wasn't already booked to go to Rio and Salvador via another phenomenal deal, I'd consider this one.

Tripadvisor.com is an excellent resource for researching hotels, destinations etc. That's been our go-to site to get a fairly accurate picture of where to stay around the corner or around the world. Check it out.

I was in Brazil for 16 days back in 2003. I went to Victoria. It was nice and I loved the earring shopping! I must say that you have to have a sexy body to enjoy the cloths though. But I got my hair, nails and feet done, including tip for only $15, in my 4.5 start hotel! They did a wonderful Dominican blow out (that was when I addicted to cemical crack).

Is travelzoo a reputable booking site? Has anyone actually used it? The deal sounds good but I don't want to be ripped off...
