View Full Version : Suggestions For Travel To Europe?

So my best friend and I have decided we want to go to Europe for approximately a week at the beginning of June. I've contacted a travel agent and she gave me info about a multi-country tour for 11 days and traveling to 10 countries. The price was $2500 dollars!

Here is a brief overview of the vacation: An 11-day sample of Europe. Admire St. Paul’s in London and enjoy a ride on the high-speed Eurostar to Brussels. From here a comfortable drive brings you to Holland. Sail Amsterdam’s canals and the Rhine River; admire Cologne’s cathedral and stop in Heidelberg, in the Black Forest, and at the Rhine Falls, and relax in romantic Lake Lucerne, surrounded by the Swiss Alps. Your vacation includes Paris, where your sightseeing tour with a Local Guide includes the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. This tour returns to London from Paris by Eurostar train and includes one night in London.

While the thought of traveling to so many countries seems intriguing, my head began to spin as I looked at the itinerary. :icon_headshake: The package included airfare, accomodations, and transfers between countries. The problem I have is it is a guided/escorted tour. This may not be a good idea....

Does anyone have any suggestions, past experiences or knowledge of any good deals, or companies that have good multi-country packages to Europe? We are looking to go hopefully to London, Paris and Madrid in the span of 10 days. I think 3 days per country is better than 5 hours.

So far, I've looked at lots of different websites, but I haven't found my golden ticket yet. I've looked at Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, Travelchannel, Europeanvacations, transitionsabroad, cosmos, globusjourneys, contiki, and many more websites...

Please :help: we need to make arrangements soon!!

Thanks Scrills, I've already searched this site. So far this is the best I've found. I'm gonna call a travel agent to see if they can get a better rate!
