I DID IT!!!

Hello everyone...!

I finally did it! Little did I know that back in Sept. or Oct. of 2003 that I had my LAST perm. I tossed and turned all night long after removing braids from my hair....

And I finally decided that it's time...

I went from 5 inches of permed hair to less than 1 inch of napptural hair. I was so nervous...and scared, but confident that I was doing the right thing. :razz

Anyway, I just thought y'all would like to know.

Congrats! My fiancee did my hair this morning. I thought he would have a problem with my TWA. But he thinks it's cool.

I know the feeling. I had been w/o a retrace since June 2003. Yesterday, after taking out my braids, I decided not to have my hair rebraided.

I CHOPPED AWAY EVERY PIECE OF RELAXER!!! Although I feel liberated, I am a little scared. Last night I sat and looked at my old pictures of doobie wraps, ponytails...what a change.

I have a business dinner tomorrow and I am nervous about what kind of reaction my business clients will have. I thought about buying a wig...but you know what...this is me and I will not be trapped by other's standards anymore. Forget buying a wig....being true to myself now!!!

I know what you. the first day i cut my hair my husband just kept looking at my eyes and then look up at my hair. then when i asked him about it he stopped looking at me at all. :fight lol. it took a day or two and some deep conditioner and now he loves it. :amour so dont get discouraged men love long hair but if it grew long with a perm it will grow longer with out. and make sure to go visit www.roshini.net it will inspire you and help you make it through your twa days.
