my guess would be not many. let's not forget that christianity was one of europeans' most effective tools of enslavement. i think these church services to "commemorate" the abolition of the slave trade are a waste of our time....just another exercise in making europeans feel good about themselves. no serious Afrikan would entertain the thought of sitting in a building that was probably built from slave trade profits with the descendants of the perpetrators of the WORST holocaust ever known to man, singing we have over-frigging-come and appeasing their (european) consciences with their (Afrikan) presence. and tony blair's response says it all....but who paid attentioned????

"Mr Blair has refused to bow to demands to apologise for Britain's role in the slave trade, expressing instead "deep sorrow and regret" for the suffering it caused."
