I've used it before but only on twists/twist outs and it did a pretty good job. Around my area it cost $4.99

I'm curious: what is the consistency of the product? Do you apply it to your hair wet or dry when twisting?

Hi Sister1,

I've used it on dry hair with pretty good results. It is the the consistency of paste. It's rather heav and messy which is the only reason I continue to look for a better product.

I've used it too, but I mix it with the FX Curls Up Reactivator. I like them together cuz the Curls Up keeps it nice and soft and the molding maniac provides nice definition. The Curls Up is good alone as well...better than the maniac, IMO. They are both made by FX. I got the maniac @ Rite aid for $3.99 and the Curls Up for $2.99. I use thm on my wash and go, but never for twists.
