I want to color the gray that is coming up around my hairline in the front but I don't want to cover my natural highlights throughout the rest of my head. I have long locs (more than 10 years old).

Is there something over-the-counter that's not some harsh chemical dye? Should I just find a loctician? If so, can someone suggest an excellent one in North Carolina? Thanks.

I'm in love with Bigen for covering the grey hairs in front. it lasts for a couple of months and is very easy to apply.

^^I second that. Bigen is great to use!

Third the Bigen. I buy the dark brown from Sally's.

Does Bigen make your locs stiff?

I just starting getting my grays....I'm still undecided if I want to cover it up. My mom uses mascara to cover hers but she uses a flaming hot tool of hair torture on her hair too so no help there. Good topic!

I have a couple of grays, luckily my hair is highlighted also and the grays are on the locs that are colored. Or I get my loctician to twist it inside the loc so it doesn't show.

Ditto for Bigen - use it regularly. Does not make my hair hard.
