So I watched this first episode. Daniel Baldwin is there working on his sobriety, Chyna Doll (female wrestler), Jamie Foxworth (judy from family matters), Mary Carey (porno star/ ran for Cali. Governor), Brigette Neilson (Sly Stallones ex wife and Flava Flavs lady), Kiniki (don't know his real name but he plaed the part in Grease), lead singer from some rock band Crazy Town, and some other chick.

The show is on Vh1 with Dr. Drew trying to help these "celebs" get sober. its pretty interesting. Daniel Baldwin seems really serious about maintaining this time. The girl who played Judy on Family Matters Jamie also tried her had at pornos smokes Marijuana all day but doesn't see it as a problem.

Its amazing how all of them know they have a problem but don't see it as a problem.

girl I said the dude from grease, I forgot his name :D. yeah it is sad. I hope all those other celebs see him and decide to change because he was a mess. and if he doesn't stop I really fear the worst will happen to him.

I used to intern with at a substance abuse recovery center and it was amazing what went on there. some of them really wanted help, others were mandated meaning either go to the center or go to jail, others were not addicts but the drug pushers themselves who were mandated as well.

we shall see as the show progresses who stays and who goes, who is really ready for help and willing to accept the change.

I remember Jeff Conway from Grease and Celebrity Fit Club where he hd a huge problem with drugs. I saw thae state that he was in on this show and he is just a pitiful hot mess! :( I couldn't believe that Jamie Foxworth had a such a huge problem with drugs! :huh: I think that leaving Family Matters really messed up her acting career as a young child. I think that people in Hollywood just become jaded! They have access to sooo many substances, and drugs are easy for them to get and use in that crazy town! In the words of Biggie "Mo money, Mo problems!"

Yup im watching, and I only knew about it from watching Tyra's show either earlier that day, or the day before. It will be an interesting show to watch, however I dont think Judy from Family Matters will last, because she wasnt on the Tyra show and they dont really show to many clips of her in future episodes....

But I will still be watching... This is the type of reality tv I :icon_heartpump: ! :D

Mary Cary needs to sit her hot tail on some ice or something and chill out! Sheesh! Why would she bring a strap on??? :huh:

Shifty from Crazy Town needs serious help...but somehow I just don't feel like he will stick with it.

I like Chyna Doll...oddly she looks a lot better than she did on Surreal Life...less manly.

Nice to see Brigette again. I have a feeling she will follow through.

I can't remember the girl from American Idol's name but I hope she follows through.

girl it is like you read my mind.

I believe that Daniel Baldwin will try the play "mr. leader, I have been there and back".

I hope that they all succeed but Dr. Drew was right some will be here in the end and some won't. most addicts don't get recovered in one shot sometimes it takes as much as 4 times in reovery to really stick with it. you see Daniel said he had been in rehab 9 times before.

Chyna Doll did look a lot better than she did on her last show.

Jamie Foxworth, I'm not sure about. She said that she was smoking just about every hour of every day at one point. It's hard to just go cold turkey after that much smoking.

I feel bad for Jeff Conway. Hes already falling apart on the first day.

Mary Carey seems like she just has to get in trouble.

I saw the first episode and all I could not stop watching. It's very interesting but sad at the same time. I don't see Alec Baldwin staying there long. For some reason he dosen't seem like the type to be told what to do and like to be in charge.

Mary Carey won't be there long either. She needs more than rehab, she needs Jesus!

I can see Bridgette and Chyna making it through.

the whole jeff conway (taxi/ grease) situation is sad and disturbing. he is very far gone. its sad but I don't think he is ready for treatment/ recovery. he has hit bottom and seems like he wants to stay there. he is very resistant. I hope once he completely detoxes that his thinking will be more clear. also he needs to get rid of that crutch called a girlfriend he has. she is an enabler and a drug user who is not helping him but hindering him. she is his only life line and I think she has other motives for being with him (I think she wants to use him for all he has).

Jeff Conway broke my heart. He taught one of my workshops a few years ago, it was no secret that he was on that stuff back then. He was OFF THE CHAIN with his outbursts! Sometimes he would show up late, or not show up at all, you could look at him and tell when he was high or coming off of a binge. Sometimes he would reek of alcohol. He was very good when he was not high but I never agreed with the fact that folks enabled him by continuing to put up with his BS just because he was Jeff Conway. But this is the norm in Hollywood ( especially of you are a yt man, I digress <_< ). I had very little respect for JC after this interaction with him but now i see that he is a very sick man. I really blame the Hollywood environment who treat people like Gods because they are celebrities. I don&#39;t care how talented you are, drug use should not be tolerated.
But to see him in THIS state was just really really sad :( I feel sorry for him, it was very painful to watch. I am PRAYING that he gets the help he needs.

Although I couldn&#39;t turn away from the first episode, I don&#39;t think I can continue to watch. I don&#39;t think something as serious as rehab should be televised for our entertainment. There is something that is not right about that. I will keep up with their progress though you NP.

my mom feels this is totally fake show and the actors are just acting and doing it for the money (she is dead serious about this). her reasons are "why would you want the world to see you like that, this a very private thing". I don&#39;t know what to think b/c I don&#39;t think you could act this up no one is that good.

I think helping Jeff is kinda pointless because his girlfriend is just providing him with all the drugs he wants and thinks it&#39;s ok. He dosen&#39;t seem to want the help either. He comes up with any little excuse to leave.

I really like Brigette and I think she is there for the right reasons but some of the others I&#39;m just not understanding why they are there like when Dr. Drew asked China why she was there she said she didn&#39;t know. I was like...huh.

okay so on the new episode jeff still wants to leave and honesly the only thing he needs to leave is his girlfriend. I don&#39;t believe she really cares for him at all he is her meal ticket, she is a leech that is helping to bleed him dry, the other leech is his addiction.

they have a new guy in the house he is a former kickboxer/ ultimate fighter. he is beyond cocky and still doesn&#39;t get it. no one is really feeling his attitude at all. it was so horrible what he did to his girlfriend. he told the story of how he was driving home drunk and she was drunk as well in the passenger seat. well he had an accident and he already had some warrents, suspension or dui so he didn&#39;t want to go to jail, this fool pulls his girlfriend (who is unconcious) out of the passenger seat and puts her in the driver&#39;s seat. he made her the fall guy and she went to jail. first of all both of them should not have gotten in the car while drunk. both of them lost their child to foster care b/c of their negligence.

finally they let jaimee speak and she told some of her story and her father&#39;s addiction.

this episode was just too much

Yeah, I thought Rico was fine until he started talking. I don&#39;t know what is worst: what he did to his girlfriend or the fact that she covered for him (and they are still together). I am so sick of Jeff. I want to see how everyone else is doing.

I feel like the staff should have been watching them a little better. I mean they do need to have a break but the wet tee-shirts, high-energy going on, could have spelled trouble.

also I hope they give Jeff a physical therapist or something because he is too dependent on the wheel chair.

I&#39;m not surprised he left either but at first I was like wait.....he&#39;s leaving because of some girls in wet shirts.....he could&#39;ve just went inside and chose not to be a part of it. What was no longer condusive to his sobriety? I was confused until I saw clips from the next episode. Apparently he was texting Mary Cary and asking her to send him provocative pictures. I think he was trying to get with her or something. He knew he was about to cheat or be in some serious trouble with his wife so he left. Mary tells it all in the next episode so I can&#39;t wait to see.

daniel is such a snake. he left because he knew what he was doing with mary was wrong. mary also should not have let things get that far but that is part of her addiction she likes to flirt and feel wanted. I agree with the guy from the ufc about it takes two but his approach was all wrong, he is way too arrogant. also he should not have told daniel what was going on, once daniel left the premises that was it he was not apart of the unit, he is an outsider. the ufc guy really disrespected the sanctity of the group by "informing" daniel of what was being said after he left.

jeffs girlfriend is a leech and she is sucking him dry. I believe that she wants to keep him in this stated of addiction so that she can continue to have that access of what little money he has.

At least if Jeff Conway is going to be back he brought his SO this time. Those two both need to get sober or else that relationship will always be toxic. I don&#39;t know what to say about Gary Busey. All I know is that I couldn&#39;t be his roommate. He couldn&#39;t be hitting me with Buseyisms and acronyms 24/7. I would snap. I haven&#39;t hear Nikki McKibben&#39;s story yet, but she looks a lot different from season one of American Idol.

I think some of Gary Busey&#39;s issues are coming from his brain injuries.

As for AI, maybe it has something to do with the high of instant fame those folks get and then low of going back to anonymity when it&#39;s pretty much taken away after the show (because most do not go on to achieve the kind of success they had hoped for). It has to be a major blow to be so close to your dream and then have it all taken away. Maybe it triggers some type of depression :dunno:.

I think Thursday evenings (10pm perhaps). I may have caught a rerun so it could be earlier, but I&#39;m sure they&#39;ll replay it a lot throughout the week.

Sometimes I feel sorry for him, sometimes I get mad at him and at other times I laugh ( i hope that doesn&#39;t sound rude :blush: ). He is really serious about being a counselor rather than a patient and I think while it is sad because he can go overboard with it, not knowing how he is affecting people and wind up one day getting hurt. I do appreciate his overwhelming concern for others, however I&#39;m not convinced that he should be on this particular show, let alone in that facility.

Jeff Conaway is a completely selfish azz and his gf needs to leave him. It looks like Dr. Drew is putting him out of the program in next week&#39;s finale. I can&#39;t believe he had such a verbally, emotionally, and physically abusive tantrum when his gf went out for the sober outing with everyone. It&#39;s like he&#39;s hating that she&#39;s getting better. I hope she leaves him.

Wow, Seth aka Tricky is not doing so well. He&#39;s sooo thin. Even Drew commented on it. I hope he gets his stuff together. The amount of drugs he did that day in the hotel room, after he left the rehab facility, on the roof, and in the facility is unreal. I hope he survives it all.

I miss this weeks epidsode but I hope tricky gets it together for the sake of his son. the little boy is so cute.

also I hate to say this but I don&#39;t jeff will ever get off them pain meds. his back pain is too great. dr. drew said the only way he is going to get better is to stop taking the pain medication and he is not will to do that.

I think more then likely Jeff will pass of an overdose. Its obvious that he really doesn&#39;t want to get clean. Jeff, is addicted to surgery and the pain medication. In the clips for this weeks episode you see him giggling while shaking his meds. I really hoped Vicky would stick it out and get clean but she is addicted to him and the drugs. Sad no matter how you look at the situation.

I feel so bad for Seth, he seems to really want it but keeps backsliding. For his son&#39;s sake and his own I hope he gets clean and stays that way.

I wish all of those people were required to go to sober living because they all need it.

There&#39;s a spin-off show coming on in January called Sober House. It&#39;ll be interesting to see how that works and to see how they are all doing. Looks like Andy Dick showed up for help too.
