When I look back at old loc pics, I don't see an "ugly stage", lol! Maybe other people thought they were, but I never did. I did have a long "in between stage" in which my locs were part braid, and part loc, but I was ok with that. I think the whole point is that we know that the hair is transforming, so it's something that we learn to live with for the time being.

I love this! I have decided that as well. Nowadays, there is SO MUCH INFO out there and SO MUCH support. I read articles about this very thing ad I began to ask myself WHY I would be entering this journey with a certain "way" that my hair needed to look and if in doing so I might not be setting myself up for failure. SO I decided to love my hair at every stage and that if anyone said anything negative, I would respond with a simple, "I love it!" I know that as long as I love my hair, nothing matters.

thick ones matte together differently... small ones stay the same... what's ugly- you all look beautiful...
