I live near some woods and was having problems with snakes. I just wanted to share that I've had success with using moth balls to keep snakes at bay. I put them around the perimeter of my fence and I haven't seen any snakes since.

Thanks for the tip. My DH just saw a snake yesterday in our backyard.
a baby snake and some prehistoric sized lizard were shading under my azaleas today... I'm used to the tiny tree lizards but this was something else!! Thanks for the tip! Will the moth balls work for lizards too??

Hi I am new to Nappturality forum. Thank you for allowing me into this forum discussions. Thank you for the question asked above to avoid snakes lizards like reptiles problems in house yards etc., Sorry i dont think that moth balls are the snake repellent it wont work and no use. I suggest you two ideas to prevent snakes. One is you can use fences like snake-proof fence so that it wont enters and another idea you can use common repellent like Lemon or cinnamon, clove and garlic oil mixture are the liquid fence which gives good effects to prevent and evade all such reptiles around the specified area.
