Autumnal Random Napptural Thoughts

Happy New Leap Year y'all! :D

For 2016 I'm going to keep on keeping it simple. I got my hair trimmed for the second time at my local Great Clips yesterday. In and out...love it! :) Also I decided I wanted to try out at least one new product line with one of my Christmas gift cards.

I've heard lots of great things about Camille Rose Naturals so I went to my local Target this morning to see what they had. I want to try the cleansing rinse, the Coconut Water DC and Style Setter, and the Curl Maker...but the only one I saw on the shelves was the Curl Maker. So I went home and went online and according to Target.com, both the Coconut Water products are in stock. So I called them and the girl on the line walked over to that section and said, "Yeah, they're right here." :-| So I'm going to go BACK to Target later because I obviously need a new eye prescription.

Also, I'm just going to put this out here: This might be the year I attempt to straighten my hair for the first time in 13 years. :o

Went to the barber Friday where I got to watch El Chapo's capture en español on TV. The barber finally was able to even my hair out and now I have the option of wearing my hair coily or picked out. The latter actually has me looking like Thumper from Diamonds are Forever LOL

Anemia has really done a number on my hair. I have so much breakage and shedding that I'm thinking about chopping down to about 6". It's been 11 years since my hair has been that short. I'm not thrilled about the idea of wearing short hair again but deliberately-cut-short hair looks better than broken-off-short hair. I have a better idea of what works for my hair. And what doesn't, so growing it out would probably be easier this time.

Just watched Judge Karen. A woman sued her boyfriend for ruining her hair. They had dated for 1 year; he decided to take her to Hawaii to celebrate. According to the woman, she had a four hour hair appt before the trip. In Hawaii, he playfully threw her into a pool. She got extremely upset that her hair was ruined, and she left him there. She sued for her hairstyle, and airfare. The man knew nothing about Black hair! Judge Karen said he probably thought she'd just wash and wear.... Long story short she told the woman she would not rule in her favor, and that she was childish. I'll add ungrateful and petty. Let my man take me to Hawaii and throw me into a pool anytime! My hair will not stop me from having fun and enjoying life!

I was talking to my mom last night and she mentioned that she'd been struggling with breakage until she started doing black tea rinses. I'll try it for the next few washes and see what happens.
