what works best for me is :
- freshly washed/conditioned/detangled hair
- putting on a LIGHT leave in (i use a combo of redken anti snap and qhemet MTDG)
- using a setting lotion like lottabody

HMMmm honestly i think it would depend on the day. i have been in a situation where i've spoken up (adults making fun of a special needs kid) but i've been in others where i haven't .

When I first read that article I thought that I also would probably chose to not sit next to him on the subway. Not because he's black but I can imagine dude gives off some bad vibes....
