Congrats! How did you start them and how do you plan to maintain them?
My beau has traditional locs and his loctcian only used and oil and water mix to twist his locs. Best thing ever for him! No build up !

No amount of increased moisture is going to help that issue. Yes adding human hair can help strengthen the loc. I'd check out YouTube for help with how to do this.

I agree with Dee. Given your texture, interlocks, braidlocs or any tool assisted/created locs (i.e. sisterlocks, nappylocs, etc) are your best option.

Yes, that shrinkage is real! Did your braidlocs shrink alot as well? I always thought that braidlocs allowed you to see more of your true length compared to SL.
