    Default Pinning Extension to hair

I have a question. has anyone tried pinning extension like the curly ones to their hair. Kinda like a weave but instead of sewing you just pin it up with bobby pins. I've seen something like that before but don't remember where. Thanks a lot

It's possible, there are some extensions that come as clipons. You can buy those or you could do the bobbypin way, just make sure no one decides to tug on your hair. Here is an example of the clipon extension it's a straight one, but the kinky/curly one would be just like that but kinky/curly

i recall lyddiamd posted some instructions on howp to do this in one of the nappy weaves threads in the style forum.
if i'm not mistaken, she would cornrow her hair and pin the tracks directly onto her cornrowws

Yeah my grandma does this all the time. She cornrows her hair and then doubles a piece of extension hair, pins it in like crochet braids. There's straight pins all over her bathroom.

I believe the thread GG is referring to was called "Nappy Weaves"...I tried to search for it, but couldn't find it. I found Nappy Weaves Part II though. Odd.

But anyway, yes it can be done. I think someone (maybe KB) talked about creating a type of weft and then pinning it in. Lymidd(sp) has an NP photo album as well, so maybe she posted pics and a how-to in there. I would check that out, too!
Try searching for "Nappy Weaves"; maybe I overlooked it somehow! It had tons of info.
