Why Fotki?

I chose them b/c everyone else was on it. I started off using Yahoo (which is now defunct), but few people had an account to leave comments. I didn't think much of it until someone left an NP message and said they wished I had a Fotki so they could leave comments. So, I got one.

I like how easy it is to network/friend fellow nappies, upload photos, leave comments, and navigate the site.

Basically. Almost every natural head in the natural community has a fotki. Therefore it is easier to access albums/pictures/etc. from random naturals just in case you want to look at a style they did, products they use, etc.

Not to say that you should get one. I have heard of the viruses that supposedly fotki has laid on folks. But I have not had any problems yet. (I have a mean McAfee virus program for that type of thing). I love it. It's easy to work with, customize, and to share.

Ive been on hair boards for years since 05, at the time everyone was using fotki and its just became the norm. Alot of people were angry when fotki changed so you had to pay to have "PREMIUM" ... thus moved to different hosting sites. I still have fotki, I paied for it a few months back to but to be fair .. with the youtube culture now ... Fotki is dying a slow death

I agree with all of those who said that FOTKI sucks!!! VIRUSVILLE is what they should rename it to! LOL! SMH!

When I joined NP, everyone had a Fotki so I made one and I'm still there. I don't pay for a premium account but I'm too lazy to move all of my pictures from the last 5 years.

I'm sorry you had trouble with fotki. Thanks for the info because I was thinking about making one but now I want. I just got a new computer and I dont want any viruses if I can help. But I like that "hairstalking" I like that I have not heard that before. LOL (maybe because I am a newbie).

I tried posting a pic on here and the windows security thing keeps popping up. I wanted to post the results of my first braid out. Can anyone help?
