My hair needs to be wash but i only have shampoo with sulfate in it.
At the moment its the only one i am able to use until i buy some new products thursday. I've only been transitioning for a month and i've come across my first problem. I've been doing braid outs and up intill last week they were coming out nice until i conditioned my hair 4 days ago. after i did that i immediately did a braid out and the next day the curls wouldn't hold. My theory is that my hair became to Moisturized from the conditioner that it wouldn't hold, i could be wrong. My solution is to wash my hair but the only shampoo i have available to me right now all have sulfate in it.
Can i just add some water in it so it won't dry out?
advice please i'm like 10 minutes away from just washing it.

Just wash your hair.
Just make sure you rinse really well.

Your hair will not fall out of you use the sulfate shampoo, many of use it occasionally, myself included. It's probably the most effecient way of getting rid of your conditioner and once that's done you'll have a clean slate on which to use your products afterwards.

Add a little bit of oil in it also. Olive, Jojoba, Coconut, something to help the water dilute it.

I just use shampoo straight up to get my hair washed really well. I use to dilute my shampoo, but I got product buildup.

you can also try looking for organic products that are sulfate free; (most of the time they should be sulfate-free). If you are going to use a shampoo that has sulfate in it, and you want to keep your hair moisturized w/protien and shine AND or correcting dryness. What you can make thats like a good home hair remedy is mix..2 tbls honey, 1/4 Coconut milk, 1/4 your favorite conditioner and 1/4 Olive (if u wnt)...mix it together..put it on wet or dry and cover your hair for 1hr w/ heat.
***OH YEAHHH to those that have product build up...um to get rid of product buildup and really cleanse your hair and restore your PH balance..try and ACV it after you shampoo and condition.. Apple Cider Vinegar 1/4 AND 2cups of Water ...you can leave it in or wash it out..(if you leave it will dry and the smell will go away)..then continue with your leave in and oils.
*i hope i helped someone.

Add oil to your shampoo. Sulfates may dry your hair out. I know they do mine. That is why I try to stay away from products with them in there. I get spots in my scalp if I use them to often. do you have dish washing liquid? Use that till you get sulfate free shampoo.
