Smile Two or A Few Product Challenge

Hi ladies!!! I really like the challenge forum, so I want to introduce the two of a few product challenge. I don't think any one likes a whole lot of build-up on their hair and scalp?!. How many products are you using on your hair right now, minus your shampoo and condish?

Hello. I was browsing this space to see if there was a minimal product challenge at all going on. The longer I'm natural, the more I realize that I don't need a lot of different products to maintain soft healthy natural hair. Lately, I have been co-washing with V05 conditioner and adding olive oil and jojoba oil to it to create a deep conditioner. I use the same products as a leave in. Sometimes I add shea butter or styling gel as needed. That's about it. Conditioner, jojoba oil, olive oil, shea butter and/or gel. My hair is happy.

Right now I'm using water, coconut, and jojoba oil. I'm thinking that coconut and jojoba oil are the same so I will stop using one

OP: Coconut and jojoba oils aren't the same. Jojoba is not even an oil...check this out

Both are nice, but in the end, it's what you want. Coconut is one oil that will penetrate the hair shaft, which aids in moisture retention when used after washing. Jojoba is nice because it's light and mimics our own natural sebum.

    You can choose!

Thank you. I do have scalp problems and my hair is dry, so I'll continue to use both

I can say. I am not the same. I am a recovering product junkie.LMBO. So i use the Beautiful Textures line for the most part and i have some pieces of curl. I just bought Yes to Carrots, Herbal Essences twirl and some VO5 conditioner for a lovely co wash routine since, mine sucked originally and realize my problem. Not enough mositure.Smh but after three years, I am finally getting a hang on what my hair likes and after research from naturals close to my hair type.
