Hi MsMixit,

I'm a DIYer but only to a certain point. I started my locks with braids over the Thanksgiving weekend of 2010. I've gone through the "akward stage" and now just going with the flow. I live in Gaithersburg which is about 30 min north of SS. I maintain by latching and keep to a pretty low maintance routine. I need help weaving in the loose strands of hair and are all over the place. Did not catch them when I was braiding but now, if I don't get them into check, they may become locs of their own. My Fotki has not been updated in a while but you can check it out just the same.

How were your locs started and how do you maintain them?
