I really want to get some TST or braids put in, I'd like to not worry about my hair for the rest of the year. Ahh well this will just give me a chance to work on my protective styling technique! Which is non existant....lol

@ meagan: just say yes to ceramides!! my hair did a complete turnaround once i started using ceramides. no lie like 2 chains. my mix is sunflower, safflower and grapeseed. my hair just loves it. i started out using sunflower but grapeseed is great because its very light.

Yarn braids...never considered them, but my niece wants to try some in my hair...I think I'll let her! It's time for a protective style anyway! It's the only way I'll keep from cutting it!

There's a story behind this post but I won't share it. Instead I'll just pray on it and say...

Did you know that there are still grown folks who will try to pull all sorts of nonsense in response to another adult's (natural) hair?

    MmmHmm.

I see this family at work with an adorable little boy and his hair is always a complete mess. It looks like a clown wig. IDK what ethnicity they are but it's a group that usually has straight hair but can have curly hair? IDK I just want to get a spray bottle, a wide toothed comb and some moisturizer and take him into the bathroom and do his hair. It looks like that every time they are in the store so I wonder if it looks like that everyday or when he goes to school? If you're not going to do your kids hair why not just cut it off? He's a boy so he'll be alright with a low cut, something that can easily be maintained.

Twisting my hair for the first time in a millennium and realizing that I have damage/loss from the 2 massive tangling episodes I had earlier this year. Would that I'd jumped out of denial sooner & realized finger detangling only was no longer an option for my hair. Meps meps meps!!!

EDIT: hmmm... Now that I'm done I'm noticing my twists are no longer as scalpy as they used to be. I thought my roots seemed denser and I guess I was right. If these twists don't fallout and look 3 wks old three minutes after putting them in, twists might be back on the menu...

love this set of mini braids. keeping them in until nov 1st. did a little trim. won't trim again until jan (then after that june). i will do little search and destroy missions once a month when i take my protective styles out.

right now i'm just trying to use up the products that i don't want to use anymore. these products i am using are pretty good but i have found better products that work.

i think i will reach my goal by summer of next year. i did a serious trim a couple of months ago and the hair has almost grown back.
