Thx, yep that is dry hair. I used Shea M. Curling smoothie as my leave in and clear Eco as my styler. I had to cool blast my roots then I banded my hair in two low pony tails with satin scrunchies last night. Last time I used Shea m. Deep treatment masque w/ clear eco and my hair wasn't as big but I had better hold. Hopefully I can get 6 days out of this hairstyle.

She keeps telling me how long & healthy the locs would be, and while I know that my hair would probably reach long lengths quickly if I let it lock, I'd worry that because my hair is so dense and there would be no getting rid of shed hair, the locs might break off from the weight after a while.

I have dense hair like you, and my shoulder-length locs are very full. I only notice that they are heavy when wet/saturated. However, I've decided that if they start feeling heavy even when they are not wet, or if just a simple swing of my locs could injure someone in their path , I would have my locs cut back to a more manageable length.

My heart hurts when I see a loc wearer with waist-length hair but thin/balding roots because of the heft and strain. I'm not having any of that!

It took yeeeeaaaarrrrrs, but I finally am retaining length. Who know that all I needed in my hair life were grapeseed oil, soap flakes, and water. I wish I found out hundreds of dollars ago, but you live and learn From stretched APL, it'll probably take me four or more years to waist length.

Shrinkage tickles me. I twisted my hair in smallish twists the other night, and my hair now rest just a bit below my ears. If I want to have waist length hair twisted, my hair stretched has to be down to my toes and back. I adore shrinkage regardless

I got a working week's worth of wear out of this WNG style. My hair was as soft as day one. So I am surprised it lasted so long with no hold. I could have gone longer than 5 days. Well I washed and did medium twists in my hair last night. Took me 1hr and 43 minutes. Now I see why the WNG is preferred.

Your hair looks so nice! It's all big and looks really soft . The bold is the main reason why I love WNG's. Every time I twist or braid my hair it takes sooooo long .

Went out this weekend and got my supplies for homemade product makin' . I got tools: measuring spoons & cups, tupperware cups, a whisk, a funnel. I got raw materials: ACV, Chamomile tea blend, Hibiscus tea blend, glycerin, honey, unflavored gelatin. I haven't washed my hair in 9 days , and I am so excited to try out some concoctions on Monday.

How difficult was the detangling after wearing your hair in a wash n go for that long?? You are really making me want to give WnG's a try again....

It was easy because of the overnight banding and my hair was thoroughly detangled from last time. Pineappling or just stuffing my hair in a bonnet had caused me challenging detangling and weirdly shaped hair in previous attempts at the WNG.

Girl 5 days!! My hair would have been a tangled mess, I'm glad you found what works for you.

What products you making? sounds delicious!!

ETA I henna'd this week for about 3 hours and deep conditioned for about 1 hour and my hair feels so good. I wore a twistout yesterday but I'm back to updo again. Hope to do a length check at the end of this week.

    Thanks Hivierhair
