Default What is a good leave in conditioner?

My hair is really thick and I am looking for something use when I do 2 strand twists. I am thinking oil moisturizer is not enough. Any suggestions?

    OP:
There are so many choices!! Unfortunately
PANKS have access to the commercial product forum...but

I find Oyin Honey Hemp wonderful. Whether it is used as a deep conditioner or leave-in, I swear by this. Sometimes I infuse an oil and/or honey for extra moisture. It is a bit pricey, though. I don't ever use it for frequent conditioning, because of that fact.

    Good luck!

My hair is thick also and what works for my hair is qhemet's heavy cream. I just recently started using darcy's botanical twisting cream. Both are very thick creams and moisturize my hair well.

I second Oyin's Honey Hemp conditioner. I also really like the Giovanni Direct Leave-In, and the Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion and Beauticurls leave-ins. Giovanni is the best for the price ($7 depending where you get it) but the other two are also worth the price ($20).

Hi there, I am new here but thought I'd share. Twist out is my main style and I use African Pride Shea Butter leave-in and use Texture My Way ultra-defining pudding. My hair is soft and curls defined.

I finally remembered what I used in the beginning of my natural journey, not really a leave in but moisturizing/conditioner called Shea Moisture. Makes my hair soft. I used it and some Organic twist & loc and the twists turned out nice and the twist out was the best so far, but I still have the straight hair from flat iron damage to deal with.

    Thanks

WOW! So many different ways to moisturize. I use Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. I put it on after wash day then I follow each day after that with a diluted version of the same thing. I basically just put the water in a bottle and add lotion to it. My hair stays soft all day. It DOES have silicone, but I use an SLS based shampoo, so I'm good there.
