    Default 6 months into transition hair type ( pictures inside)

    Would really like to know what my hair type is or will become. I know it doesn't matter in some cases but I really feel like all of our hair textures aren't the same. It varies when it comes to different kinky coils on each individual curls. To better take care of my hair I need an understanding of what I'm dealing with. I'm half way to a year I would think it would be easier to tell by now but it's not. Can anyone help?

    You could get one of the now many books on black hair care or read through the information on this site and the many others that are now around available. (When I transitioned then chopped back in 2000 there wasn't so much information around.)

    On the LOIS system you look like an O.

    To work out your strand thickness you need to compare it to a thread. And to work out your level of sheen you are going to need to have to look at your hair in the mirror.
