@ NapiaMia Are you going through peri-menopause naturally? I don't believe anybody has suffered worse then I have. I guess we all go through our own menopause h***s. I endured for a good 7 yrs. I took every OTC known to mankind. I was determined to go through naturally. I even liked the idea of sharing with folks that I got through it without prescribed drugs.(Hymph) No longer worth it to me. Get some help if you can. Unless there is a bloodline reason or a medical reason for your suffering I recommend that you do some research and make an educated decision. Hopefully,you can get some relief. My nurse practitioner gave me sound advice and I did not feel that she was just trying to push pills at me. I was afraid of walking into Estrogen dominant cancers by replacing estrogen. I'm thinking if your body by God's design and nature is trying to get rid of something why would we try to replace? Well,cause we are living in Menopause h**. That's why!! She was like your present situation is seriously affecting your quality of life so what's the point in living if you are unable to enjoy your life because of your discomfort? She also went on to explain that in the foregone years Drs. were placing women on hormone replacement drugs at high dosages and leaving them on them for extended periods of time. Now what they do is place you on the lowest amount to control the symptoms that you are having and for shorter periods of time. She told me that I suffered so many years that I should be done in a couple yrs. anyway. That is assuming I'm going to be done in 10 which is the average. I'm not claiming being one of those women who never stop flashing well into their 70's and 80's. That was more info then I needed to know. Anyhoo, I allowed her to place me on a combi-patch which consist of estrogen and progesterone. After about two weeks I stopped flashing and began to live a normal life again. I have no regrets and God forbid that my future is affected in any negative way I will remember the h** I was living in and not regret the decision I madeat that time. In regards to that I have upped the health game to be proactive in warding off any potential risk to my health. Being pro-active is very important. I don't know your entire situation but I hope this will help if there are no other reasons you continue to suffer aside from just wanting to do it naturally. For all intents and purposes I was a hot mess!!!

Onica I don't frequent this forum so my apologies for just now seeing this. Yes, I'm going through it naturally. Since I last wrote this, the hot flashes and night sweats have greatly diminished. They're not gone but they're not horrible any longer. Acutally, I don't really have night sweats at all any longer. They were so bad at one point that I sometimes had to get up in the middle of the night to change my clothes because I'd be wringing wet. The hot flashes are far and few between. If fact is 12:30 p.m., and I haven't had one yet today. Just when I started stashing small portable and battery operated fans everywhere, my hot flashes started dying down. I've got one in my office at work, one in my training room at the podium, one in the living room at home and one small enough that sits at the head of my bed. On occasion I do wake up at night and turn it on. As long as they don't come one with a renewed vengence, I think I can finish this out!

Some guy complimented me on my eyebrows while I was on my way to lunch today. I guess making the switch to gray pencil was a good idea

My feet look hideous right now but at least I can say that fruit acid peel really works. I wonder if there's a company that makes something similar for knees or elbows...

Interesting. I'd like to see this study repeated to see if there's any difference in population estimates based on the presence of this gene in the samples. 20% of Black people sounds like a low figure and I wouldn't be surprised if the actual prevalence was higher.
