Greetings!
It could be a sign that your hair has started the "locking" process already! Locs love water. It also depends on the climate you live in.
{Iowa?} If it is less than 60 degrees, I would not walk around with a "wet head" ..... that is good in the summer/ 90 degrees months.
Also, locs will "Shrink/condense" before they get longer. Be patient.
Take a few pics {1st month, 5th month, year 1} and see the difference.
Check out plenty of advice here, and on lockers blogs.
HTH,
take care~http://www.Queenlocks.com

Hi. I was scared to touch my locs when they were first installed. May I ask why you rinse daily? Do you moisturize too? I thought mature locs luv water. Every phase luvs water? I hop you enjoy this journey. I think I luv mine more then anybody ever.(LOL) Should have did this years ago.

You are on the right track. You can rinse as much as you want to. It is really good for your hair. Your hair will behave differently during different stages of the locking process and it might look different too. Also, nobody's hair is will do exactly the same things. Continue to enjoy your hair and the board.

What should I start my locs with? I have a bottle of organic aloe vera gel for drinking. Is that good to loc with? What is recommended? I want something natural and that will not cause any buildup.
