New growth dryness!! help!
i have been transistioning since January and so far I been having a couple of problems with my new growth. The growth in the middle of my head is extremely wavy and soft. So I have no problems with the middle its the front of my head thats being difficult. In the front of my head of the left side the new growth is SO SSSOOOO BEYOND DRY! I dont know why!!! Coconut oil doesnt work, castor oil didnt work, even them mixed together didnt do much of anything. I even noticed when i wash my hair and getting ready to detangle that part of the new growth will dry so quickly. Like 2 mins later before I can even start. It hurts so bad when I had to comb that part. Has anybody had this problem? Should I go ahead chop it off which im getting close to doing because my patience is running a little thin, should I try more products? im just very confused.

Try spritzing with aloe vera juice, massage, the add (seal) on a butter or oil that works best for you. Everyone's composition is different-so there's no once size product/ingredient that is full-proof, everyone is different. You have to use what works best for your hair. I enjoyed Shea Moisture or Going Naturals curl milk for braid outs as a loose natural and it gave me the hydration I needed. Dryness is common. Do a search. There's many threads on it and a solution may be waiting for that works for you and your lifestyle.

You should try the Maximum Hydration Method (google it). The results are nothing short of amazing, esp for dry/dry feeling hair. I've been doing it for 2 weeks and the increased moisture makes me look like I have a new head of hair.
