    Question Hair Type/pH level/Porosity

    Hello all!

I have been Natural for 18 months and I need help! I thought I knew what I was doing but I don't think I do....so I think I need to start with these questions!

Does it really matter what your hair type is?

What products help balance your pH levels?

When testing your hair strands to see what porosity (I hope I spelled that right) the water has to be room temp and no product on the hair strand right?

    Hi,

You have a lot of great questions; however, they are loaded. Finding the right combinations for your hair type will take trial and error. Also, you'll need to consider your climate changes and how products react with your hair type. Feel free to use the search function. There are thousands of threads addressing these issues from over a decade.

Does it really matter what your hair type is? For products, yes.

What products help balance your pH levels? It depends on your hair type.

When testing your hair strands to see what porosity (I hope I spelled that right) the water has to be room temp and no product on the hair strand right? Right.
