Re: 2015 Natural Hair Resolutions
1) Cut my hair into a nice shape and maintain it (I always shirk the second part of this)
2) Be more diligent about keeping my ends moisturized

Re: 2015 Natural Hair Resolutions
God willing, I will celebrate 20 years of nappturality at the end of 2015. I will have been online discussing natural hair and its care for 16 of those 20 years. It's funny to think that around this time last year I was considering a two-year protective style challenge to see if I could make BSL or even longer by my 20th...I'm mostly on the opposite side of that fence now.
The big resolution for 2015 is to keep my hair care as simple as possible without keeping it in protective styles, without going back to the TWA, and without resorting to texture-altering chemicals. Next week I'm going to a salon for the first time in 4 years to see if a pricey "curly hair stylist" can understand my hair's language. If it works out, I'm fine with paying $$ 1-2x/year to maintain my hair at an easy and manageable length and shape.
Re products, I'm open to trying a new line if it gives me what I want. Kinky-Curly has worked well up until recently; it may just be the weather but last year's was worse and I didn't have as much of a problem with it. Again, keeping with the simplicity theme, if I can settle on a set of products that work for me 98 percent of the time, I will happily empty out my product graveyard completely.Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

Re: 2015 Natural Hair Resolutions
The big one? Stop being lazy with my hair and using my dance schedule as an excuse. My hair's not in horrible shape, but it could do a lot better with better care.
So far as products go, finding a Holy Grail conditioner. I've got everything else. If I can find TWO conditioners--one for regular use, one for back up just in case I can't find the other--that'll be great.

Re: 2015 Natural Hair Resolutions
Minimize styling to retain growth. Still, if it gets too annoying I will loc it up and that will be it for a long time. I miss the simplicity of my locs

1. Try a pin-up style.
2. Cut my hair into a cute style. Something mop-ish so that it looks full and free. *YouTube & Pinterest, here I come!)
