    Default Satin Pillowcase Snags Hair?

    Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone noticed that satin pillowcases snag really short hair (i.e. shaved head and growing) more often than longer hair. This is what is happening to me on the several pillowcases that I have been using. I think it has something to do with the angle that my ends press against the pillow with.

Also, should I be concerned about this? Everytime I lift my head from the pillow, I hear and feel the snagged hair pull away from the pillowcase.

Hmm, you might have lint on your pillow that's snagging on you. This could happen from washing it. I think I got mine from Sally Beauty and it's good quality. No snags or anything with long or short/shaved hair. You could try a satin or silk cap instead, or a silk pillow case.

Do you style your hair to sleep? Maybe you could change your styling.

Thanks! Lint may be a possibility, but some of the pillowcases I have slept on were brand new, and some were old (I rotate them). I had the same amount of snagging. I suppose lint can still get in...

I don't style my hair to sleep at all. I only wear wash and goes. My hair is only around 2 inches long fully-stretched, and I never wear it fully stretched.

I might have to try a different quality satin pillowcase, or maybe silk. I don't want to be wearing bonnets or scarves yet.
